THEME

The War of the Worlds!​

Aliens are attacking, why? Who knows! But they're here and they're looking for something. Hats? Maybe. Bread? Nah. Your theme is alien attack, how you interpret that is up to you. If you're stuck with only a few days until the start, check back on Thursday June 26th, and maybe you'll get some clairvoyance on what to do...

This time around, I have provided everyone a nice theme pack (which I will update over the coming weeks) for everyone to use for inspiration. Inside are a lot of images and a couple of links to videos that might help you set the mood.

If SOMEONE makes a War of the worlds theme map, with it's river, the Thunderchild Bay, ruins of London's civilization, tripods in the background it would be the best cp map i would ever enjoy.

As with all previous 72hr contest and major contest:

Maps developed during the 72hr contest can be used for the Mercs Vs. Aliens Mapping contest (They just need to follow the MvA guidelines for final submission, but not 72hr submission)

Example: You can make a map for the 72hr contest that doesn't have the mothership being destroyed, but for MvA, it will need to be.
