Important notice, as most people seemed to have overlooked the update. I keep finding more people I talk to every day with outdated servers :E

pl_waste_final.bsp is bugged.
If you are running pl_waste_final.bsp, please update to the most recent version, pl_waste.bsp.
My apologies for any inconvenience.

As some of you may already know, I'm currently working on an update for pl_waste

Changes are made to further streamline the layout to improve gameflow. CP2 will no longer be a point of stalemate (that sometimes never-ending adds time to the clock)

Probably the biggest of many changes:

I'll be taking any late feedback as I develop this further. All the better if you can catch me on one of the test sessions.

But, isnt the map name just with a number at the end more like a completely new map? Like de_dust and de_dust2, which dont really have anything to do with each other.

(Was written in some thread about versions here in the board)

But i guess there wont be so much other possibilities for a name, so...

I'm more familiar with numbers being a new version, not a new map.

In tfc for example there was: 2fort4, rock2, well6 (not 100% sure on this one), crossover2 and more...

Could always call it pl_taste

or pl_haste

or pl_paste

or pl_chaste

No-one will notice the difference!

Personally, I'd much rather have maps that end with _v2 _v3 than _rc


_rc sounds silly

Triple Testing:

Was fun time clearly one team was better than the other, i think the balence is prefect and should stay along with ammo and heath placement.

Only thing i noticed is the kart flipin out, never noticed that before but apparently it happens alot i guess i never noticed that.

RELEASE NOTES FOR V2:
Changes have been made in an effort to improve the game flow around CP2
-The cart is locked and cannot be pushed for the first 15 seconds after setup ends
-Item pickups have been modified to better provide thier benefits where they are needed
-Faster spawn times for attacking teams
-Toned down volume for factory sounds
-Geometry changes in area in front of base entrances
-Added staircase near CP2 for direct access to the upper level
-Widened major chokepoint that leads into the CP2 area
-Moved CP2 closer to defending team
-Added cover for defending teams near final CP upper level
-Several optimization changes and bug fixes

I think thats a TF2 issue, not a map issue. Sometimes the cart will spin sideways or do a full flip. :p

This is a great map! Personnally I realy liked it.
Note for you: Do change the changes that DaBeatzProject had suggested you to make... Than your map will be even better!
