I do believe this was patched. A fair while ago in fact.

But that actually just replaces one problem with another. Depending on the water texture being used (various transparencies) people, sentries in particular, are hard too see and even harder to hit. So sentries under water have become particular nuasances when they can shoot out at you and you can barely see it even with a direct line of sight.

I'd look at it this way: He submitted a map and people voted to get it in. It didn't make it, but people voted for it. That should be taken as a positive sign and a basis to set his next goal for himself, come back stronger with his new experience and see if he can get into the final voting process next time. Because he was so close.

so with the prelims over and done, and (hopefully) a collage/lineup image impending, any thoughts about getting a mention made on the teamfortress.com blog (the thing's in need of a new entry anyways).


also, since no one else seems to have made a post about it yet, fubar made a youtube vid flythrough of the maps that are past the prelims:

I'm going to re-design and have another pass at pl_redhidingwoods.
Can you please specify what you mean by 'optimize'?
I know I could put in smaller areas, more hint brushes maybe, but what else?
(Also, the train will be fixed, any idea how to scale it down so it's slightly smaller?)
