Currently the Redkite Charity Medal is in-game but uhhhh

The TF2Team must've mixed up the names with the JimiJam Participant medal and put it on the RedKite one. My best guess is that they thought the charity medal is the new participant medal, oops

It's currently being fixed though and things will be back to how they should be soon. Those TF2 lads must be very sleepy today

tfw all the time the TF team could've spent on the Jungle Update was instead spent on an objectively crap gamemode nobody plays anymore

I bet this was going to be included in the Jungle/Pyro update, but they threw us a bone because its taking months for the update to come out

It's possible that the Mannpower gamemode is being worked on by a Valve developer outside the TF2 team. Similair to how Passtime is being developed by a third party company.

Wouldn't they have mentioned that by now? They made a big deal about how passtime was being developed by someone else, and surely they'd want people to know that any changes made to it wasn't done by Valve so that Valve can't take the blame of any mistakes.

I assume they made such a big deal out of the Passtime collab for publicity. I mean, it's made by a company that isn't related to Valve at all. As for the Mannpower project, that's just completly normal with Valve's working policy. It's going to be pretty hectic and confusing to document and mention all the switcheroo between Valve employees and their game projects. Let's say after mannpower left beta, the dev that worked on it stayed a little while to see if everything went alright and then left the TF2 team to work on something else. But then came back later to do several more balance changes. It's quite stupid to mention that in the blogpost simply because that's how Valve works.
