Wiki Facts
The team sat down and decided to write all the hidden easter eggs out.
The map is based off a paper mill in a town named Rumford, and is canonically set in Maine.

The map is reasonably accurate depiction of how paper is actually made. Logs are cut down, chipped up, turned into pulp, and then pressed into paper. The festive version of this map has the paper become wrapping paper.
One video used to learn the process:

We first start with debarking the logs to get them down to a more manageable size.

After that the chips are moved to storage.

The pulping process starts and chemicals are added.

We can turn that pulp into rolls of paper.

Being a paper mill we had to adhere to some safety standard. Thankfully @Zeus was able to make some pictograms. In map tests, @MegapiemanPHD would always express his desire to eat the wood chips. We don't supply the salsa sadly, you'll have to bring your own.

Paper rolls are affected by gravity. Watch your step. This guy sure didn't.

Almost all papers mills have an active rail line to them. This is no different for Rumford with the Rumford Rail Company. Based on real previous rail companies in Maine https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rumford_Branch Train made by FGD5 who also made the forklifts, and various trucks.

Originally the maps theme was to involve red team being at the front of money laundering/counterfeit production. One idea for last was red team would be printing money and the explosion would have featured bits of burning cash floating through the air. This was cut due to time constraints of valve and the rule of threes contest.

The employees of the year posters represent the contributors of the map. Some are our real faces and represent characteristics of us in real life! Occasionally the employee of the year mattered for company productivity.

The numbers on the sides of the buildings represent the phone area code for Maine- 207.

Paper mills naturally use a ton of water for producing paper. They also use a large amount of power during the production process. You'll generally find paper mills next to dams or other large bodies of water. There are currently 102 hydropower dams in Maine.

Hopefully you're not too fawn of Deer. Hunting season is afoot this time of year. Shoot the four Deer and reveal a hidden Deer room! I hold this one quite Deer-ly.

For the original rumford I recorded myself detailing the entire map and go over a lot of my thought process and random facts about the map.
