Posssible Soldier Update Leak

This is a leak from the steam forums. Not 100 legit percent but interesting none the less.

Hey, before you click on the picture below, the story:

Basically, on my phone, I have the TF2 Blog set up to tell me if anything new is posted on the RSS feed. (Yes, call me sad, whatever, I like to catch up with the blog on the move.)

Anyway, earlier today, I checked my phone's RSS reader and had a new one in the list of articles for the TF2 blog. (This was about half an hour ago or so.) I couldn't open it on the phone, as I'm over my data usage this month, so I headed to my computer and opened up the blog. Nothing different there, so I switched to the RSS version, and almost ♥♥♥♥ed myself:

I screengrabbed it as soon as I saw it, because as we all know, VALVe love to mess with us

Lo and behold, about 5 minutes later, the blog post was gone, just like with the Spy update. My guess is they didn't mean to post it up yet.

So what do you guys reckon? Are they messing with us again? And how much do you wanna bet that part way through the update, the Engie will appear, and it'll turn into a joint update again.

Nah, doesn't look like something the Valve guys made. Not enough jokes, also revealing 2/3 of the update in the blog post is something they wouldn't do. Also I guess the post will be like something the soldier would say.

And Dr. Spud, Valve's last update hinted a lot at KOTH

one reason i dont belive it is valve usually says weird stuff like the way the soldier would talk. This is very straightforward and boring, not very valve like.

They've already said they leaked it on purpose and made it look like an accident.

I wouldn't be surprised if this was true. I mean, just take a look at their shenanigans during the Sniper/Spy update.

My hesitation to believe this is based on how the blog post revealed KOTH mode.

Because if the past few major updates tell us anything, they tend to reveal that kind of information in the "Day-by-day blog update phase" most major updates get before their release day.

I'm going to take a running leap and say that if it is legit, then it got pulled because it didn't get edited for content yet.

If I'm right, we'll see a revised version with more jokes and less information (or possibly the same given this leak). Possibly even a version with things censored out, a la government documents. Only, of course, it'll be done as 'from the desk of Soldier' rather than an actual political or military office.

A meet the spy video and a blog update are completely different.

The video was bound to be released at some point, whereas how long does it take to type out a blog entry?

the font and spacing is different if you look at the thread on the steam forums their a tons of things that most likely prove its fake
