Hi! I am Lye Al, and I am new here! A lot of friends call me Ahmma!
Even since 2010 I've have a passive fascination with level editors in games, and being able to make my own levels was always a passion of mine! However, at the time, my dumb-clueless-egg-of-a-teenage-brain took one look at Hammer, and then ran off screaming in absolute panic and terror at the very horrors she just witnessed.
Fast forward to the year of 2024, where I have accomplished a great many things! I not only discovered a more clear sense of self, but also I have cleared FFXIV Ultimate and Savage fights with ease, escaped the state where my abusive and queerphobic parents reside in, and; most importantly, moved my daily driver desktop to Linux full time. So, looking back on myself, I can make a very positive conclusion:
I am much stronger now.
What I need to help with making maps is all the dev and tool textures you can offer. Every single one. I use a lot of these as visual indicators of what type of props should go where, as well as what textures should be applied to the brush after full testing of map layouts are complete. I'm going to be using them to organize things better so that my brain doesn't become mush when it's time to do an art pass over a finished map. I've already grabbed a few from the downloads on site here, but some have deprecated download links that I no longer can access
I will accept any and all kinds of dev textures, including the sleek flat-style textures as well. If anyone has a collection of dev and tool textures they've collected over the years, I'd love to grab them as well to not only collect them of mapping use, but also to pass the materials on to other new mappers should the time arise that I'd need to leave mapping once again.
Thank you in advice!
