Same as Matt but I can do Full Resolution (1920 x 1080) if needed too. However, I will not be on my desktop till the 12th because I am on vacation and only have my craptastic laptop.

So are we judged on our map, or our screenshot? (Sorry I haven't been in any of these micro-contests before).

They generally provide a collage of all the screenshots, but nameless, so you're forced to look over all the entries inside TF2 to judge which one is the best (and figure out which one you liked the best, from the screenshots). To prevent "Oh that tiny screenshot looks nice, I'll vote for xxxx"

I'm surprised no muddy cliff texture or swamp seem overlay like the desert grass one was included.

There goes my idea out the window. Lets see what else i can do instead.

I must ask, as there is no 3d skybox, does the map have to be sealed visually? (like cliffs, buildings etc blocking view of the sides of the skybox from view)

And if I have a 32 unit thick skybox, that surrounds a 2048x2048 playable area (Making the total map size 2080x2080), Would that count as a disqualification?

simple solution, compile with cordon on.

Can we create the boundary of our map to be a little larger so we can take screenshots without the sky going mental? The detail map area will still be confined by the confines set out by the rules.

How do you install this map pack or where to? It keeps saying error opening file for writing.

Nope, it can be bare skybox if you want. Or you could be creative and do something new, we'd love to see what you all do.

what a shame, i spent all this time optimizing my 3d skybox, and then i get shot down. lol

No 3D skybox allowed
But, but.... the instructions page says
cloud_moving (Set the particle's parent to a moving object and have it move back and forth in the skybox)
and I think that counts as 3-d D:

Yea.. and most of the trees are 3d skybox so you only have 3 different trees. Which poses an issue if you want a forest like setting.

I need to enquire as to the origin of:

player\gibs\gibs_licenseplate.mdl
player\gibs\gibs_can.mdl

As these were in a standard Valve directory, but i'm pretty sure are a part of "party mod" or something like that. And even if they were.. well. Either way, are these models allowable?

I would like to use them but obviously this may be breaking the rules if they are classified as "other custom content".

edit: i forgot to also bring up the custom particles. HAMMER NO LIKE. I compiled the zoo and they won't play ingame (i wanted to see what they looked like) . Is there something else i need to do to them to get them to work?
