Yay for stupidly long names! Also, zpqrei is psychic: I am definitely making a mini-map for this; this swamp pack deserves my immediate attention!

Actually his post is 80% copy/pasta from one of the previous ones, which was 40% copy pasta fro man even earlier one. So that particular line was written by me, well over 6 months back.

No. As the rules say:

Please DO NOT pakrat your BSPs. This is a MASSIVE pack and people won't download the same content 15-20 times over. This shouldn't be a problem, as no non-swamp content is allowed. But please build cubemaps and what-not.

Is it OK for parts of models to be outside the 2048X2048 square? I mean, if the origins of models are all inside it, but the whole model doesn't fit and is poking out?

I would guess so. As long as the map is a sealed 2048x2048 square, the random branch sticking out shouldn't be a problem.
