The bottom of the container wasn't expected to ever be seen, so the texture there is just black. You'd have to re-UVMap it to get it to do that. The easiest way to fix that is just to put some wood underneath it.

This map has really evolved, SWATY. You're a good example of a mapper who is progressively getting better.

Consider rc5 pretty much final, I doubt there will be anymore versions of the map. Everything is pretty much fixed. Im finally happy how this map turned out.

Updated first post with new pics/info
Change Log from RC4 to RC5

-Fixed a problem with the doors at spawn lagging.
-Fixed the trains at mid not being even on each side.
-Fixed a bunch of clipping problems throughout the map.
-Added a crate above the middle point to add an extra layer to the mid point.
-Added a small HP inside the crate.
-Added more detail to mid.
-Removed one of the pipes on last due to last being too hard to cap.
-Fixed some displacement problems.
-Fixed a few visual glitches in some areas of the map.
-Fixed some ugly shadows on some props/geometry
-Retextured some of the buildings on last.
-Added a small ammo pack on the valley side.
-Extended the spawn on last due to last being hard to cap.
-Added custom textures for the container at mid.
-Fixed a problem with the fog in the 3D skybox.
-Improved fps.

Is anyone having no textures on the container in the middle cap?
It is happening every time I load the map. :eek:

I tried the standard restarting of the game, restarting Steam and re-downloading the map.


I would also like to add that the map it self looks excellent and I can't wait to test it with a couple of 6v6 matches. :)

If you did indeed pakrat fail, hold on for tonight and let me do a nitpick/runthrough of things to be fixed before you do rc6.

Looking at the video, I can see there's a lot of misaligned textures. For example, the wooden support beams have horizontal wood grains when they are placed diagonally.

edit: specifically at 29 seconds. And I meant vertical, dammit!

The camera needs to go slow enough that people can actually see your detail and registor the layout. Right now it's just flying through your map at 30 miles an hour and we get a face full of wall every other second.

Well, the guy offered me to make a flythrough video of the map since he really likes the map so I didn't how good his camera skills were, but its pretty decent in my opinion.

Anyway, the final version of the map will be when cevo s5 ends after I get all the feedback from the top comp teams.

Swaty, just dropping by to let you know that we've added Mainline to the map rotation on the fast respawn server at SF. It held an overwhelmingly positive reception and was the best received custom map we've had in a long time - it's my personal favorite 5-CP custom map now actually. Thanks for dropping by the forums over there to keep us updated on your maps.

I'm glad your map is getting plenty of publicity. I truly love how much it has transitioned, from reelfoot b1's... uh... I don't even think I can remark too much on that to this. You've really shown yourself evolve throughout the project, similarly to the way you did in outback. (I do remember railroad b1.)
