Last change that I have made in the map from the comp feedback that I got that fixes the back capping issue and makes this route more useful since before it was too long and people weren't using it as much.
I've shorten it by 50%. It also fixes the wideness that the 2nd point had before. From the pug from yesterday people were using this route more so this was a good change. Everyone in the pug loved the map so I'm happy. :)

With the stuff that has simplified your map it looks tons better. You still need to add some wooden strut/truss supports to the wooden decks in your first image there, but otherwise much better.

P.S. in your first image there, the two wooden doors on the left are lit differently.

Playtest done. Can't really say, much, players who can't stand 5 cp did'nt like it, other found it fine. I must apologize that some people left on second round which broke the playtest itself.

I played as pyro on the first round, and was pleased to see at least a map with decent cover, my little burning hearth was being continuously punched by spamming on all these payloads, those days...
Some players found it a bit large, but it's what 5cp is about. Despite the gloomy atmosphere there was no visibility issue reported.

As there was no major complaint nor game breaking issue, I'll certainly give it a second run if it's not included in the cycle, You'll get another record for your feedback.

Here's the second run Demo. Two complete rounds, with full server, but at the beginning. First round was much more balanced. I personnally find the atmosphere a tad bit too dark for my taste.

Some directions may be a bit misleading, you'd want to work that a little bit.

Another change to the map in rc3. I made the yard at 2nd bigger since it was kinda of small before and it was very tight.

This is how it was before, just straight and it felt cramped.

Modified second point looks terrific; aside from some minor visual touches this thing is pretty much done I assume.

This is the last big change to the map before I release rc3. I made some changes to the middle point just to get away from the look of Fastlane and its 100x better with these changes, gameplay wise and visually speaking.

As you can see in the pics, it doesnt have that look of fastlane anymore. :)

To me, it looks more like Fastlane than before. In a good way, though.

I will do one more pug before I release rc3 just so everything is good to go and It should be out this Friday.

RC3 is out folks. Updated first post with new pics and info.


Change Log from RC2 to RC3

-Added more detail to the map.
-Fixed a ton of playerclipping issues.
-Closed off the balcony at 2nd point to fix the issue with the backcapping.
-Added a connector between the left right building going to 2nd point.
-Improved fps throughout the map.
-Fixed a bunch of visual problems.
-Reworked some of the buidlings at mid and 1st point.
-Adjusted the far right route so its shorter and more useful.
-Added more lights to certain parts of the map.
-Added more detail to the spawn rooms.
-Fixed some ugly shadows.
-Fixed some problems with the overlays being too big.
-Fixed some leaks on some brushes.
-Shorten the left side at 2nd point.
-Fixed some shadow problems on some props.
-Reworked the area at 2nd point making the yard bigger.
-Fixed some buggy doors.
-Changed the location of the 2nd forward spawn to a different place.
-Added more cover at the right entrance to mid.
-Retextured Mid building with natural textures.
-Added more signs.
-Fixed a problem with the spec cams.
-Reduced filesize by 3MB.

This version has pretty much everything fixed, there isn't anything else to fix except for some small clipping issues here and there but other than that its pretty much solid.

Awesome, hopefully now some competitive players previously unfamiliar with Mainline will get to know it a little better and give it the recognition it deserves.
