My advice for designing levels to be played in TF2, is to have lots of height variation. Dont make your entire payload track, or entire map all on one brush. Look at some of the fan-favorite Valve maps, such as Upward, and look at some of your favorite maps, and look at how they are designed. Also, don't get disappointed if your first map isn't so great, no one starts out good. But thats a major reason why we are here, to help you improve! So I encourage you to take mapping like a fun activity, and if you learn from your mistakes and from other's feedback, you can make some pretty cool things! Have fun!
