I really think you should simplify this model into smth less noisy.
TF2 tends to simplify otherwise complex details like this (especially distant ones) into thicker, less detailed cards

Something like this might be more appropriate.

I assume this is a model using $alphatest? Anti aliasing doesnt apply on a texture level afaik so it could be that. Despite that, yeah the beams are very thin.
