Damn, dood, I don't even play those games but I want me some prinny hats. Because penguins. Are they exclusive exclusive, as in non marketable and non tradable? Even the Poker Night items can be traded.

If these follow the pattern of most genuine promo items in the past, they'll be untradable at first, and then made tradable after some time.

Not exactly the next update I was expecting.

There have been several times in the past the TF2 team has posted a blog post about promo item then posted a blog post about the update later that day (probably because they didn't want to include the promo items in the blog post, and they wanted the update blog post to be the newest one). The most recent one was when the posted about the Arkham Knight promo contest the same day as the last Halloween update. It is possible we'll get the blog post for the update today.

Arkham Knight is still the most shameless cross-promotion they've ever done and I don't think they'll ever be able to beat it, short of doing a promo for a Digital Homicide game.
