Several of the folks have only 30 hours as engineer, so at least it isn't that...

I suspect they probably randomly tag some drops as "having gold in them" and then when they get crafted...

Well done telling the masses to indeed go and crash the crafting servers some more and spam every server down.

It seems Valve have disabled the smelt metal craft. I can craft a scrap metal, but not smelt my reclaimed/refined. It shows the blueprint in the craft window but says crafting failed.
