Contest idea thread!

I may get a lot of hate for bringing up this idea but I believe if you just listen to my reasoning you will see why it is a good idea.

We should have a simple CTF map contest.

The reason is that there are lots of really good mappers on this site. CTF is really simple to make and with the standard of mappers on this site, you will see some pretty amazing, awe inspiring, earth shaking maps. Plus they don't take long to make so the contest can begin and end quickly, and noobs to map making wont feel left out like they normally would if we had something like a TC Arena map making contest.

It wont take long for many mappers to finish there CTF maps, giving plenty of time for the maps to be play tested, detailed, and such.

Random idea that may or may not work:

Suppose we're given a game mode and some common issues with current maps for that game mode. The contest would be about making a map for that game mode that addresses those issues. So for CTF, the goal could be to make it difficult for Sentry farms to lock down whole areas of the map. For TC, it could be to discourage stalemates. For A/D CP, it could be to limit the effectiveness of spam.

That wasn't articulated well at all, but something like that.

no king of the hill ends after holding a point for a long period of time, arena ends after a whole team has been killed with the addition of a cp to avoid camping/hiding.

It's the admins who decide it, specifically YM, Nine, and Immortal (I think...). The next contest was supposed to start on January 1 but problems arose.

Of what I know that I feel I can state (Immortal yelled at me previously), they were debating on gamemode very close to the First, and then problems occurred on that day that Immortal needed to take care of. I know nothing else.
