Seriously though, it really sucks I'm on vacation during this. I would have totally done Spires and Bridges 2.0. Would have been such badassery.

Could I get a clarification on the rules, Muffin? You say "Any amount of detail is allowed" but does that mean that the quality of detailing and aesthetics will factor into the score for each map, so detailing well would make your map more likely to win? Or does that simply mean that we can detail as much or as little as we want and the map will still be judged regardless of aesthetics and only on gameplay?

I think everyone is going to vote differently. some prefer a nicely detailed map, others will prefer a solid gameplay. I guess it's your job to know your audience and map accordingly.

Finally I've managed to move it from 3dsmax into TF2, with lods and collision mesh in place. The fire torch on the back works perfectly.
I estimate I've lost about 9-10 hours to this model alone, time I could've used in hammer :p

Now I gotta make track models and some pl capturepoints. But those should be easier.


EDIT: Note, that with planning it could look a lot better, right now I'm just using whatever because it's faster... If I had time I'd restyle the whole thing to be a little bulkier.
