Every game day and impromptu it interrupts play a bit and gets very annoying.

Is it possible to turn it off if !setnextmap is used by someone? Or something?

It can be turned off in the server config. As far as disabling it on the fly when !setnextmap is used, that'd be something for SourceMod I imagine.

sv_allow_votes 0

Just put that in your server config and use Source Mod for any voting you want to use, Source Mod has a much nicer looking voting UI anyway.

Oh, i see, it's not SM related. OK.

I've updated the US server config, but the EU is being tardy; i ran the command through the console on the EU server incase that helps but have no idea whether it'll save to the config permanently. Let me know how things are.

you've never seen it because Valve only just added it in the Hatless update.
As waxpax already said, the way to set it is by: sv_allow_votes 0 (or 1)

@grazr, you need to add it to the server.cfg, or else the setting will be forgotten on server restart/reboot after a crash.

Honestly, I actually like the built-in one better, if just because it uses the F-keys instead of the number keys. You don't have to worry about accidentally voting for something when the window pops up if you're in the middle of a fire-fight.

Also like how it gives weight to adding maps to the vote that havn't been played as much.

Still using SourceMod for now, though, since I use some population-based controls for what maps/map groups are displayed. Totally hope someday they let mods hook the in-game voting engine for votes.
