Behold, The Traveling Beanie™!

The Plan: Rename it "The Traveling Beanie". And a description leading to a link where people can log it, and tell people to hand it off to someone else in 3 days or so.

While I'm sure its gonna fail due to the "OMG A HAT ITS MINE" thing, but hey, its a fun experiment.

This might work, maybe, for a very little bit, at least until someone forgets. You really need to have some sort of way to remind people "HEY give the hat to someone else" cause otherwise everyone is going to forget

Why do I get the feeling that someone will craft it with another hat then claim they never had it in the first place? It's somewhat pessimistic but easily possible.

How?

Is there some sort of item history we can access?

What if, say, someone passes me the beanie, and I log Doofus J Untrustworthy's steam ID, craft the hat with one of my own (or trade it away to someone else who crafts it with another of their own hats), then claim it was Doofus J Untrustworthy who crafted the beanie with another hat, and stole it from the community?

For example.

Assuming they log their name on the blog, we can see who had it last. Supposedly.

You should get them to log what maps they visited with the hat, and some of their scores. If you find data collection an interesting thing that might be interesting. I'm not sure it'd really mean anything, but it's a little player history along with the hats own history.

The trick is to trade it to your opponents then quickly cap/push cart while they're in the spawnroom trying it on.
