I believe all the achievements will no longer be available. The paper bag item says it's event limited, so I'm guessing it will become locked and unusable until next year. The Gibus looks like it's a normal anytime hat.

Hrmph, kay. When I first saw this I thought "Runescape" as they do things at xmas, halloween and stuff and have limited edition items for those times =/

Also betting the Halloween mask will still be wearable, but it just can't be obtained until next year. I'm also betting that wearing it post-Halloween will trigger the Thriller taunt.

I'd think that the hats would just be limited to the Harvest Event map after halloween.

I think it's fine, I like it when video games get a little festive. TF2 feeds upon its community to stay alive, so doing little event things that are simple but fun is the next logical step for it now that the game's getting long in the tooth. The game really needed this right now, too, even just one new map is enough to breathe some variety back into the game.
