I like that more but the drips or whatever are really busy and extremely noisy.

The letters are pretty sharp too.

What program are you using? There has to be a way to get rid of the anti-aliasing.

Why would you want to get rid of anti-aliasing? Any posters printed in TF2's era would have smooth letters. An artist would paint the original (maybe using stencils for lettering), and the press operator would photograph it to be transferred to a printing plate.. there would be no jaggies unless you consider halftone dots to be "jaggies".

So I guess, if anything, the problem is that the text he's using doesn't have an organic enough feel to it. This could probably be remedied in his image editor by rendering the text to a layer and using filters to "humanize" it.

Another thing to keep in mind is that these posters look different in game. By the time they get turned into vtf's and shrunk down as an overlay, they soften up quite a bit.

Is the orientation intentional? That is, the map is angled so that the CP is entirely in shadow and gets no sunlight. While this does free you up to use spot lights and stuff to paint highlights on the point, it also means the CP won't benefit from the environment lighting.

I only mention it because it's easier to spin the entire map 90 degrees before any kind of detailing begins. :O

Also, that little window on the right is just screaming "BUILD A SENTRY IN ME!"

It's supposed to be a sentry spot, but it can be outranged by soldier rockets easily.

The orientation is intentional. I wanted to surround it with sort of shady (notice that the shaded area is far from dark, except under the balcony, which will be lit eventually) area and light the point with bright, manmade lighting to make it stand out. Obviously the bright lighting is not there yet.
