Wow, that looks incredible. No criticisms from me, though I have to ask, how's the optimization going?
On a semi-related note, how awesome would it be if Valve released an update centered around Hammer (not really TF2 in particular, just Hammer) and they fixed all the bugs they created and other such wonderful things.
They picked the worst possible time to futz it up.
Aye the only place you can put an exact circle and not have it look distorted is in the centre of a texture (on the horizon in any of the four compass points or straight up, at zenith)
You're gunna have to skew that moon if you want it to look circular in-game
Well you fix it by purposefully distorting the moon in your original image so when it's translated to the 2dskybox it looks circular. So where it looks squashed in game, stretch it in your vtf.

I just happened to have this link handy because I'm about to make a custom skybox.
Ach! Then what am I going to do to make a skybox. Did an upadate break that method or something?
