A small update to point scoring system:
- Point scoring awarded to top 33% (previously 25%).
The 25% cutoff was very harsh when there was a low number of entries (<6). It's not a big change, but something I've been thinking about the past couple of days!
I have the excel document of doom. And it tells me this was a necessary edit.
In reality, it means 1 more person gets a point per assignment. (not entirely true, but it's the easy to understand explanation).
I get asked "So when is the next assignment?" at a rate of about once an hour, and I don't have an answer as I'm still planning.
I would like to hear some opinions on these things:
* Is it better if I go out of my way to fit assignments so the deadline is during a weekend?
* How much time between assignments is needed? (#days between deadline close and new task starting)
* How far in advance should I announce the starting time? (no info on what the assignment is, just the starting time and date)
I have my own answers to these questions, but I want to know how you people feel so I can make adjustments where needed.
A regular scheduled ending would be nice.
I don't think you'd need too much time inbetween assignments, maybe a day or 2.
Don't care when its annouced.
Can i reccomend increasing it to about a week inbetween? Allows people who might be on holiday the best chance, avoids burnout, and gives people time to work on other projects.
