I had about 2 inches of rain the other day. School flooded, they had to cancel classes in the tech wing. If it was only a few degrees colder, imagine all the snow I would have gotten

Where i live, we had one snowfall, which i was away for, and since then we've had just enough snow to top up the two inches of ICE they're saying might stay till winter. EDIT: durr, til christmas i mean.

Most people who can't get into work because of snow don't get paid, which means they do get seriously fucked over if they're counting on the amount of hours they work a week to tie them over.

Geitiegg, that's my sentiments exactly but unfortunately because it doesn't snow a lot in Britain it's not worth investing in anti-snow hardware. It's (somehow) more practical to just let it hit the economy for 3 days than actually respond to it like say Canada who have snow-dozers, grit vehicles and commercially available wheel chains etc.

But airports do get hit the worse and will probably have to privately invest in said hardwares.

it's so fricking cold and it's only fun when you get free from school.
Anyway, here in holland we got some snow too, since then i've only cycled once to school because my mom had crashed her car, good thing she survived but now i had to cycle :S
now she got a new one so i hope she can bring me to school again
though it takes like 2.5 times longer now.
