This is gonna be interesting.
I don't see why not. =)
I'm willing to share the prize, and I'm sure Eerie is too(?).
Well the voting for these minor competitions is supposed to be fun and laid back in comparison to the larger ones that run several months. These competitions give members the chance to give their opinion on something community based that they might not otherwise have the chance to participate in. The size and significance of the competitions makes it more ideal this way.
Previous larger competitions were moderated with a more definitive system. There was a public vote and there was also a moderator vote to even the field of "random/biased public voting". Although there are obviously more members than moderators, the votes were weighted evenly for balance.
I voted Eerieone because of it's nice variation of visual elements. Though I still very much do like Lord Ned's, his would have got my vote if there was a 'Most Creative' award.
Though it did have a highly creative treehouse... the background was a bit lacking and could have had a bit more to support the main structure.
So, Eerieone got my vote, because in my opinion, it had what I was looking for
Well done to both that have made it this far!
I'd like to thank everyone for voting, and thanks to everyone who made entries! They were all awesome! But, as you know, we can only have one winner!
Congratulations to LordNed!
Everyone else (including Eerie, who was ahead until the last moment!) we hope you'll be entering our next mini-mapping contest!
Wow that was a close one. Congrats Matt. Send me a PM with your shipping address and I'll get that shirt and TF2 trading cards out to you asap.
Again, congrats!
EDIT: and woohoo 300th post on my TF2Maps.net Birthday
That was really close. Congrats!
I'll make a proper post later but for now:
Hmm...I should have entered and beat both of yous >__________________>
Well, as I come onto TF2maps.net to vote, I find that Matt's won. Congrats, Matt.
I see my vote wouldn't have tied anything up, but I would have voted on Eerie because I felt like Matt's was too focused on his tree, and the rest of the 2048 x 2048 was too bland.
that was my feeling as well, but that treehouse was amazing
Congrats to both of you guys, both of your maps are highly deserving of winning.
Congrats to everyone who entered but espically matt!
Tree Houses FTW
Yay, lordned won and it was all because of my vote ...our vote?
anyway congrats to both of you!
Honestly, pretty much every single one of the entries of this contest was fantastic. Congratulations with your win, LordNed!
