Sorry in advance for the link to pictures instead of site images.

I'm trying to make a door prefab to copy all kinds of doors to other maps. While the RED respawn door here works just fine, there is a problem with seeing the respawn room visualizer. I created it via the Texture Application tool, it uses the correct texture, it shows up allright in Hammer but not in-game. Only from the far sides it is visible. In the first picture is my screen of hammer. All fine and dandy so far.

On the second is the same situation, but in-game. Texture is invisible from the front.

It becomes visible only from far left/right.

Lastly the respawnroomvisualizer is separated from the door, both in-Hammer and in-game.

The Heavy's pose says it all. I've had many map ideas and many projects halted because the basics refuse to work. And this issue has plagued respawn doors I've made since the very beginning. I would greatly appreciate a helping hand to solve this problem for once and for all.

I think I've seen this before, and what I think is happening is that the door is rendering in front of the visualizer for some reason; but am not sure why. For me, this has happened with other thinks such as particle effects, but may not be related.
Just carry on with your map, a missing visualizer isn't the end of the world. Add a drop afterwards, or something that makes sure that the enemy know that it is one way, and just solve it later in the map's development.

Yeah, it's simply a visual bug. TF2 has a weird bug with visualizers and figuring out what renders on top of what. Players will still collide with the visualizer, however. You should be able to see it by opening the door.

I just happen to have the curse of a perfectionist; I can't possibly proceed unless this flaw is out of the way. I feel like ignoring it as a problem wouldn't achieve more than add a bug to the already existing pile. I'll study it by myself a little more and see where the disappearing line is.

By the way, have there been any workarounds in official maps? They seem to have deniers in front of spawndoors just fine.
