ctf_landfall release candidate 1 released!
I know I only released one beta. But after all the test versions, I realized I had basically done all the testing that more beta versions would have accomplished. And now that the map is in a really solid state... here's rc! Get excited!
Despite the incremental changes in each test build, it's actually a
big jump up from beta 1. It's so much better I almost feel embarrassed about b1.
On top of that, the optimization is much better now. I spent a while changing around how the skybox and areaportals cull the big sections of the map, and came up with a superior solution.

Layout changes:
-Changed the sides of mid. They're now higher up and have a porch area to give a better vantage point on the upper catwalk.
-Added a small new room in mid to safely get from the lower saw-room door to the porch on the side of mid.
-Added a new little alcove where the outside path meets mid.
-Added a new room on the upper levels of each side by mid.
-Changed the sawroom going into the bases. It's now got more space outdoors, to make that path more fun, but also more dangerous for the attackers.
-Changed the layout of the intel deck slightly
-You can now jump onto the shack along the outside path.
-Better FPS
-Various detail improvements and additions
Gameplay changes:
-Respawn rate raised slightly
-flag return time raised to 35 seconds
