Agreed. Half Life is great because of those interactive moments. To try to make a movie based on wandering around in a bunch of pipes will never work.

I, personally, could see this happening.

Grow a Goatee and put on some nerd glasses, and I could see him being Gordon. Although I still think Hugh Laurie would be a better fit.

Prince of Persia was actually a pretty good movie. Only a few moments where you were reminded that it was actually a videogame.

I happen to know someone who looks exactly like gordon freeman. He even photoshopped his face onto a picture of gordon and I couldn't tell the difference (easily).

I blame bad plots on the fact that a watcher can't do anything to influence them. Hard Rain would make a good movie though, if it wasn't one already.
