I'm kind of curious as to what this is in the background.
It looks like a pyro cutout ducking behind some sort of shield thingies.
But that could just be a wrong seeing as I am looking at this at 4am here right now.

They removed mat_picmaps -10

Well, firts of all its mat_picmip, which used to be from 3 to -10
Now its from 4 to -9
so not really a diffderence

It's got the potential to be better, but for now it's rather ugly - especially the top and bottom bars, which covers half the background image.

Also, I don't know when they did it exactly, but I no longer get temporary freeze-up and broken-record sound when I open the Achievements list. It's been this way since before today's update, but I don't know when they fixed it.

If I were to guess, it's because the option to show all the achievements in one massive list is gone, so it's not taking forever to load. It just loads the "General" tab by default.

Bah, I tried stealthily hijacking one of the office macs to install steam, but then the damage file told me an intel chip is required. fml

Oh man, my custom cubemap and viewmodel/playermodel menu options are no more. That sucks. Guess I'll have to remake them as binds. :/

EDIT: Just noticed ^that had already been said.

Also where the hell is my engineer update?

Training mode is a nice touch for newcomers though. I'm glad Valve are trying to make the game accessible to new audiences, should guarantee that the playerbase continues to grow.
