I love this game so much.

I got a mesmer to 20, theif to 17 and a elementalist to 7. Mesmer is by far my favourite, but all 3 were oodles of fun to play.

My mesmer used a great sword and a staff as secondary. My theif used dual pistols then a shortbow as secondary, and my elementalist used a staff.

Quite good, quite good. Can't wait for the release.

Since we all know I'm a huge guild wars nerd and arena net fan boy, and that the only reason (now) that I haven't bought the game is social/time obligations (because school and being in a relationship is awesome)... I finally got a beta key and will be chilling around this weekend on the server.

I'll be on the Sorrows Furnace Server, Messing around with all the races/professions if you wish to join me and a few friends.

I've pre-ordered.

We have 3 weeks to decide what servers we'll occupy.

We all don't have to be on the same server, since guilds are cross-server.

I think Eric, Rikka, Tech and a few others will be on the same server. I'll be pulling some of my irl friends onto the server too most likely, you're encouraged to do the same.


Watch out Guild Wars.... I'm baaaaaack.

Server list is UP. This is the FINAL list.

Late edit:
Aly, Erich, Rikka and Myself have decided that we will try to get into the following servers on launch (in this order)

Jade Quarry, Crystal Desert, Fergusson's Crossing.

We will be able to transfer servers for free for a "while" according to official sources. so our final server is subject to change, but this is the top 3 priority servers we will try to get into.

So far we're all intending on playing as:

Aly - Human Theif
Fr0z3n - Asura Guardian
Erich - Human(?) Engineer
Rikka - Sylvari(?) Mesmer
Tech - Human Warrior

(clearly, there is no love for asurans)

If you're planning a guild which it looks like then I'd be game. I plan to be a human ranger. (As I play in every single MMO ever)
I'd probably drag a friend with me as well.

I'm not sure whether I'll go to to Far Shiverpeaks or join you guys because... well, the former has better ping and fellow Scandinavians, but no one I know. So we'll see. I guess you can put me on the list as... probably Sylvari Necromancer.

I can attest to the fact that the lag won't be noticable. I can play on US servers 100% comfortably...maybe when I get into serious PvP it'll change, but not much. Unlike other MMO's and other games, 300 ping is barely a problem.

This. GW2 + Ping is not noticeable.

When playing GW1 I would play on the European Districts every-now-and-then, not a problem.

(There was a thing where the Euro Servers would have better timers or something because the ping was higher so it would round down to the nearest second, giving is lower times... Idk, high level PvE gets RIDICULOUS)
