After our first weekend of doing these events w/ a regular schedule, I learned quite a bit. For example, while I consider sleeping in until 9:00am to be a luxury, most people think it to be quite early in the morning. Which makes me really happy that I added the disclaimer of 'times are subject to change as we need them' :) So what is good for you guys? Perhaps move the testing to Friday night? Or move it to Saturday night and keep the regular play on Fridays? Does anyone even want to try Sunday? Also, time zone basis.

I think of a lot of peeps are based in U.S. Eastern, but I can't say for certain. While the events posted in Steam do adjust to your respective zone, I still wanna make this as easy as possible for the most people. So lemme hear what you think! These things (and more, soon) are for the benefit of our community. And that means letting us know how we can better help you.

Yeah, I'm west coast, so gameday starts pretty early over here. It used to go from about 11 to 4 or so my time, which is 2-7 eastern. And it also depends if Colt has his server setup for gameday on Sunday.

*Edit* So I got on steam, and it seems the gameday was already over, and I only just woke up at nine. :-/

Well i guess it makes sense to make it a little later for the US lads. Timing is very convinient for EU based players (myself included) but it makes little sense to make it very convinient for one party and incredibly difficult for another.

I'm pretty sure if you made it later it wouldn't bother those of us in the EU much. We'd just have to get our maps in a little earlier than those in the US that want to test theirs. Assuming it's any inconvinience for people here at all. Personally i'm up untill atleast 2-3am on weekend evenings so i'm not that bothered if it gets knocked back 2 to 3 hours.

I don't know about anyone else based in the EU?

<- Netherlands

1 - 3 hours later won't bother me. (TF2 crashing (3 times in a row) when trying to join the tf2m server does)

I didn't wake up until gameday was over. I'd say mid afternoon EST would be a good time to hold them, because that's mid-to-late evening for people in Europe and the UK, and its late-morning-noon for people on the west coast.

I'm for 1500 EST (2pm central, 1pm mountain, 12pm west coast, 8pm London) they don't have daylight savings in the UK so I'm not entirely sure how that all will work out.

Erm, yes we do, kinda. Right now we're in British Summer Time (GMT+1). ('British Summer', oh the irony!) In a few weeks before we move back an hour onto GMT for the winter.

Ah, my apologies. I thought I read somewhere that that was just something we Americans did to irritate the British.

Lol. It was braught in by the British so that Farmers got more time to work on their fields during the first world war. (As far as i'm aware).

But i heard somewhere that it wasn't actually a brit that first suggested it. Benjamin Franklin? But i dunno. American's make wild claims to have invented or started most things. (No offence, i don't mean to belittle).

One thing that does irritate the British how ever is how you go around misspelling words on purpose. Missing out u's, replacing s's with z's. Why?! There's no need.

But getting a little OT here. :blushing:

Why, we just like to make up COLORful stories ABOT Franklin being the world's greatest inventor!

(personally, I prefer European spelling. And decimal dates.)
