I've seen something similar on ctf_frogger, actually. In both spawns, there were glass-covered scale models of the map that showed which trains were moving.

The table would have a camera on it so both teams can see it, similar to the chalkboard in cp_Steel

Cameras can only be used for spectate views. What it sounds like you're trying to do is have it appear on a Breencast-type screen, which is not available in this game (the relevant entities have been disabled). Since players can already see the actual cart in spectate mode, it seems pointless. Two actual, physical war tables makes more sense to me.

The plan is actually to have a physical table that blu can look at in there spawn and I'm trying to figure what red can do (ether another table or something else) Similar to steel were there is the cam on it and you can look at it in the spawn.

Oh man, Tom, those are great. I randomly picture TF2 areas inspired by the real world, maybe I should sketch them down as well :D

I've started to taking pictures of real buildings and using them as a reference. The sketching really helps me a lot to prethink how the buildings could look before wasting any time in hammer. Next I should look closely TF2 props and start adding them to my sketches.

TomHoen. You are amazing. Only thing that would make you more amazing would be if you did a paintover of my arena map's scenic overlook >.>

Didn't find download link as I found this kinda interesting challenge :p

Looks like BC2's Atacama Desert (in case you don't know what I'm talking about, the map was designed with the principle 'more bloom = better map' in mind.)

Cannot unsee, Midget. Cannot Unsee.

TomHoen! My friend! Here are a bunch of screenies of the areas. I took a bunch at different angles, you can choose which one you wanna draw on. And then I took a couple screenies showing you the map as a whole so you get what's going on.

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1490725/koth_recluse_test10005.jpg Overview

It's usually an arena map but the most updated cliff side is in the koth version. My original idea with it would be that the map would be settled on a mountain, the mountain getting higher above the building that shows more mountain, and an observatory looking down upon the ground far below. The cliff side scenic area occurs twice, two sides on each team. So I kinda need something that goes around the entire side, a good 270 degrees of awesomeness. Just draw a bunch of random crap for me. I'm pretty desperate now.

The chairs in front of the monitor panels things look out of place; that's not how those kinds of things are used. You might also wanna turn the shadows off on the panels as it's making the brush face behind it black.

Those duel 16 unit thick brushes int he corner kinda bother me. For such a simple detail the shadows are causing a lot of visual distortion (too much).
