This is called improvement :D

No its called Ugly. The idea I had when doing the mock up was not to stray from the design in the drawing yet what you have done is horrible, smart people don't ruin good concept art.

Also I get the impression that although your detail is 'nice' you saturated the area with unneeded details.

Yes what you have done in mapping is so beautiful, I'm sorry I tried to do a shack with a river like you, but the beauty of your shack with is river is so beautiful that I can't reach his ankle, my appologies, really sorry.

Recently grazr called me the fuck out on my shennanigans, calling Pipe Balle a mere reskin. Of course I fell back on the Super Pipeball disaster in my defense, but I felt I'd be only telling half the story if I didn't reveal my initial attempt to upgrade the original Pipeball.

Ladies and Gents, from the bowels of tf/mapsrc, it's a half-built alpha of PIpeball 2:

Multi-leveled Pipeball field with more obstacles and vantage points. I don't know if this will ever see the light of day.

Some more progress on the hologram thingie. Still need to find a way to make it more high-tech/lighting-esque. Right now the texture is slowly scrolling to the left (as seen from the outside) and to the right (as seen from the inside) and it is also slowly pulsating (getting darker/brighter) with a sine wave every 2 seconds. I will make a video when i release an A1 so i can record a replay on the TF2M server!

I'm also planning on changing the colour when a team caps the CP. :D

That looks awesome Beatz, but why? I don't see it practically serving as anything but visual noise, which is always annoying.

I can also see (if it does become team-coloured) that it could obscure the vision of people looking for enemies. I think having it as just the ring around the bottom (like the first version you showed) is a better solution, it gets the idea across without being too visually cluttered.

I think i prefer this one to the one with the hologram at the top too. I imagined it scrolling up and fading (because of the alpha gradient), though that'd probably be more difficult to produce?

There's no reason to show the height of the capture volume.
