This is definitely one of my favorite contest entries. If only it had the ghost :(. Anyways, here's a .nav file for the bots. Feel free to include it, Y_M.:

Take note that I did considerably more than just running a nav_generate. As with many maps there were several paths missing by default (which I connected), as well as me being super anal-retentive about the pathing in general. The end result should be good bot performance. I tested it for a full attack/defend sequence with 18 bots and witnessed none getting stuck, as well as them having the capability to use all the alternative routes. Also, beware that the red bots really know how to turtle the last point :D.

Very very thorough, I guess that's why you're littleedge.

It's funny cuz I'm generally more thorough - I generally use Hammer to view clipping errors through the magic of CM and 2D views if the map is the size of Artpass or larger, as it is much shorter. But since I don't have all the models and textures, I couldn't quite do it.

So I just ran along walls and used my knowledge of possible little edges and/or common errors. And then did a quick sweep with DW on in Hammer.



Protip to everyone ever: CM and DW are your friends. They love you. Cherish them.

Crafty can extract everything you need.

The Object Viewer, you mean? No. Heck, I have problems getting it to show default textures properly. I'm talking about the File System Browser; you can open a BSP from it and browse and extract packed files.

Dayum, Rexy, I wouldn't know your Redmond portrait from one of Makani's own.

Also I totally didn't notice the new tractor when we were in the map. Is it because the old one didn't fit the trailer hitch, or you just felt like making a tractor?

Someone said something about Acumen's tractor being unable to be purchased for some reason.

From what I was told about it, purchasing it would have been legally 'messy' because it was built from another person's concept art...though what the technical legal reason was, I am unsure. YM and I thought it was a great model, perfect for the map, and unfortunately they were just not going to purchase it. Corey P's quick replacement was going to be the red truck with pumpkins in it, but I offered to build one instead. There was nothing wrong with the truck, but for the number of times the tractor was being used it would haven't been the same without some kind of tractor to go with everything Halloweeny.

Tractor looks extracool !
Kinda like the one you can find on some valve material (guess it was a sign). Also in that short time period - that's insane !
