First the medic, now the engy. Why is everybody strapping batteries to everything?! Despite the awesomeness, it doesn't make sense.

Yes it does. When both negative and positive connectors are attached to a conductor, it makes it kill stuff.

There's only one connector on this one though so I have to agree that it doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Then again, TF2 has never made much sense.

Trying out a wooden handle.

I originally had two clamps, but it ended up being way too cluttered and busy. While I do want things to be relatively correct in function, it is TF2. Giving the player the right idea without overwhelming them with detail is the most important thing.

Any chance of team coloured clamps and / or batteries?

Oh and I'm seeing particle effects. Shiny yellow ones.

Maybe! When you hit the sentry or any other building with it it sparks yellow from the battery thingy! I can see it now! =D

i don't think if wooden hammers use a handle like that. (guess it's the enormous material impact a hammer hit gives to the material that it might shatter the grip into pieces - anyways, i searched and didn't find a single hammer with a detached handle like that )

i don't know what tool you're using, but if you use max, catmull rom is the way to go.
if any other tool, your desired painting app is your choice of sharpen the image

AND on top of that, finish that genius piece NOW !

I just had a thought. The engie wrench animations have him slap his wrench on his ungloved hand, which might hurt a bit with this hammer. :lol:

Just an idea but what do you think it would look like with a trigger?
Alt fire that way could squeeze the trigger and.. I don't know... maybe build faster because of the electricity?

Either way it's looking mighty fine.
