The 4chan and /v/idya servers all suck a big one, everyone just plays soundbites and no one talks to each other or uses voicechat, it's incredibly boring

I get 5 ping in the gtfo servers, and a couple others..

Unfortuantely some of the best servers also have shorter or no respawn time, so on attack defend maps, a team with 4 sentries is near on impossible to defeat unless your team gets its act together with voice chat or something.

I play on the TF2 newbie servers 1-4. Why?
- They ban people who exploit, cheat, harass, racism.
- No sprays which I can live with and no all-talk (which annoys me because its hard to work on TEAM strategy when you can talk to your enemy)

- Because Newbie fills up quickly most of the time I sign on: <<Khaos>>, Baron's pub, Fight Club, and Couch Athletes. Just not always though, because they are all-talk servers. However, they are custom map servers.

I love couch athletics because they have alltalk on, and everybody is commenting everybody all the time and making jokes, talking about how their day was when they headshot you etc... just great guys over there.

Pubs are just for getting kills lately, if you are on top of the server most people don't care that they lose every round, too bad but that's TF2 most of the time.

z-spot.be servers I've hardly had time to play the last few weeks, work has been hectic. gonna get some more hammer-hours in tonight and finish up my beta 3, which has some changes to the first part of stage2 and a forward spawn added and such

I tend to pick the servers with the least ping as long as they have some good maps on. Usually, since I live in Norway, I end up on some server in Norway (various "Stortinget" servers), Sweden (servers named "Lokalen") or Denmark (named "Danish Team Fortress" <- yay for originality). None of these have particularily interesting players or maps. In fact, I rarely if ever see them run any custom maps, which is bad.

When I want to play somewhere else I just try to find a map that sounds nice, and if the server has 15~21 players, I'll join.

So, no, I don't really have any *favorites* so to speak. Just frequently visited servers that I think are ok.

My two favourites at the moment are Control Point US#1 and Welcome to Flavour Country servers.

Although I did use to play on Control Point EU#1, the server admin has kind of taken a break from TF2 and nobody really plays on there anymore (I should mention, it has about EVERY custom map in existence on it)

I'd probably mention Control Point too, but as you said, nobody's on the EU server, which makes me sad. :<
