I just got access to a Highlander server which we can use for testing maps. When I say "accesss", that's what I mean. I can start and run lobbies through TF2Lobby. I (currently, though this may change) have to ask the server owner to add/remove maps. STVs probably work, and if they do they autorecord (like TF2M does). I have to ask him to give me those as well. I will be using this to test my own KOTH map for this contest and, if you like, I can use it to test yours too. The thing to remember is that this is still going to be, in effect, a TF2M testing session and not competitive level play. There are already some maps on it that I hope to try next Wednesday (the 4th): Anthem, Occult, and Hanz 72. FAQ Q: How do I get my map tested? A: Send it to me as a bz2 file. Post in this thread or PM me. I will only accept maps that I believe meet a minimum quality level, because it is a pain to add maps to this server and can be hard to fill a lobby. I will screen maps to avoid players getting burnt out on things that need basic gameplay testing and development. Highlander is not where you look for bugs. Q: Where is the server located? A: Chicago, IL. Q: When will tests occur? A: Likely Sunday/Monday/Tuesdays, possibly Wednesdays, usually some time around 11am to 2pm PST. (11am PST = 8PM Central Euro, 7PM UK, 2PM EST.) I have Sunday-Tuesday off, and Wednesdays I usually go in late. However, I do a lot of things for work outside of work hours, so the actual day will change due to that and to accommodate official TF2M testing. Please let me know if you have any questions I didn't answer here. I'd really like to make use of this for more people than just myself.
