Wow, just had a conversation with my friend about TF2 figurines. What a coincidence! ...or is it >.>

I've got to get me one of those... if they're not too expensive.

EDIT: I'll leave you with a song that was clearly written about having a bronze medal [nomedia="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pzvCvkOXfWg"]YouTube- Iron Maiden - Weekend Warrior (studio version)[/nomedia]

I've got a new "instancing" tab in my hammer, what now?

New find: arrow keys dont work for looking around when the texture browser is up. Annoying as hell.

Epic shit: now you can filter which materials appear in texture browser!

Edit: which apparently removes all the hoodoo textures from hammer.

Maybe I'm just weird, but I'm even more excited about the Heavy figurine they're showing along with the update post. I've wanted a little TF2 statue for my desk for a long time now... however, these ones aren't very little! I'm guessing they'll cost $100-$200.

I might just hold out hope for a Pyro figure down the road.

So I decided on a whim to read through all the old updates since they were nice enough to put them all in the post. I got about as far as the Gold Rush Update before I was like "pfffft what am I, crazy?" and stopped.

But now I'm awfully curious about some of those map changes they made early on. Not the bug fixes; the actual layout edits.

So you want to know about the actual changes?

Most of them regarded the fisrt stage of dustbowl, the hut overlooking the gully was added (previously a ledge, which is ironicly easier to camp now). Plus a doorway which was removed that allowed RED better access to the upstairs of the far flanking building.

I have the decompiled vmf of the old goldrush if you want me to upload it via dropbox so you can take a look at it.
