    -- Post Testing Monologue --

    Thanks to all who tested Tuscany last night, got some great feedback. I loved the flank routes being utilized, some of the minor jumps and the action around the fountain. Was great to hear the classic 'visual gameplay' come out for a spin!

    With a2 my thoughts are turned to your concerns, and I have heard them loud and clear. The point is too cramped. Snipers are nearly useless (which is funny, because I went the extra mile to limit them on this map...). The grass texture in the gardens is ugly.

    Frist of al how DARE yuo, judging a grass texture on the pattern of its pixels instead of its inner hue! All grass textures are beautiful and its time we rid ourselves of this childish and immature judgement of grass. But yeah I used it because I didnt want to make those into displacements to get a proper texture, you're gonna have to deal with it during alpha.

    With a2 I am going to be opening up the point! Extending the map and removing a few sight blockers to allow for snipers to be useful. Most of the gameplay elsewhere on the map was amazing (I even saw people standing on the fences around the garden) and the fights over healthkits were intense. I appriciate the comments about how this mid would function better in a 5cp than a koth, but I'm not a punk get outta here with ya 5cp.

    -Redesigned Point to be better balanced for all classes
    -Extended the map by 128hu WOAH
    -Replaced hedge-jump with a 32hu high wall so all classes can utilise
    -Sheared clipping around fountain walls for easier navigation

    It was good fun watching your stream of the mid cover, good to see the side route out of spawn came together nicely as well. Can't wait to see what you'll do with the detailing.

    You might wanna see Eros by @Bakscratch and Manntorini by i-dont-remember-who, though they are set in Santorini, not like this, but looks like I guess? I might be wrong though

    They'll be quite different in the end, but I get where you're coming from. The domed roofs haven't helped the image as ive heard the phrase "another greek map" been used a bit when one of the most notorious Italian regions is in the name.

    It's been 5 months since the last update, but I've not given up.

    The high ground has been shrunk, which has allowed for a wider point. Should be a lot nicer to play as medic/engi there.

    From your feedback I saw the fountain courtyard was hard to play around. I've lowered the walls on the cliff for risky jumps to the healthkit, and widened the ramp to the point and flanks.

    But my focus has truly been on the flank. The round-topped gazebo has been done away with, and replaced by an angled underpass.

    While it features similar entrances and serves the same purpose, its should play far better that the old. Snipers are far less effective at controlling the fountain area from here, and its exit onto the point is easier those inside. On top of that, it just looks better.

    Now I'm not quite ready to release this version but I am really happy with how the map is coming together. I look forward to your feedback.
