It's about time I made a troll map, I shall use this opportunity.

Boylee, if people really wanted to get into it, I could extend it into a koth or arena orange map contest. I was going to keep it small for the sake of time, I'd have to add more time if it were so. I'll put up a poll to see just how serious people want to go with this. I think it would be excellent to have playable maps, though it's not required.

My only concern is that this was meant to be a filler between the major contests. I don't think anyone will bother to continue with this contest in the same gusto as soon as the next major contest is announced. But I'll poll it and see.

or add in goofy lolcat pictures, dogbread, whatever you want, just make it look pretty.

So we can use any textures that aren't standard textures? Or just dev textures to make other images?

Anyway, I would rather it be kept as this than made into an arena/koth contest. I've started and failed too many koth maps recently and the size would have to be increased to make a decent playable koth map.

You can, you just have to go under thread tools instead of actually editing the post I believe. =)

I would have also included blend versions of the textures for displacements, except that the combinations of colors is potentially endless, so if you want blend textures go ahead and make them, it will only help you out.

Oooooh... I so have an idea that I have to try. Some questions though:

Is the map required to be named orange? Because that would make the map names both long, unimaginative and we might not end up using as much orange as supposed.

How about particles and such? They're not so much meant to induce seizures, but they will be lights flying around though.

Read the rules, if it's not in the rules, you can do it. And the naming convention is mentioned in the rules.

Hey rexy, don't worry about changing stuff in the rules on my account, thinking on it I can enter a version without spawn rooms anyway. I just wanted to check if it would be disqualified if it went over the 2048 grid by adding box rooms to spawn in.
