Team Fortress 2 Update Released

An update to Team Fortress 2 has been released. The update will be applied automatically when you restart Team Fortress 2. The major changes include:

  • Added The Nine-Pipe Problem
  • Added hud_fastswitch to the Advanced Options dialog
  • Fixed a commentary string that referenced the Soldier instead of the Heavy
  • Fixed a client crash that could occur when a server used SetCustomModel to change the player model
  • Fixed a crash that could occur while trying to get The Argyle Sap achievement
  • General improvements to client stability
  • Updated the Spirit of Giving so it can have a custom name applied to it
  • Updated the map arena_well
    • Updated the skybox
    • Made some miscellaneous material improvements

They do care :D

It only took them 3 years to recompile the map with the right skybox? Does that really count as caring? I don't dust my shelves for 3 years precisely because i don't care.

I wish they would use these robot things as an excuse to check our thread of cosmetic issues official maps have. Then again, 90% of those images were probably hosted on Photobucket or some other service that has a policy of auto-deleting every image that people try to embed somewhere, always.

Also I wish they could be more specific than "General improvements to client stability". I mean, what if that means they fixed the game's tendency to break the HUD when I have it in fullscreen mode and try to alt-tab out while it's changing maps? The only way to find out is to try it.
