They arent quite the same, they must be different or else after the start of the universe there would be equal ammounts of matter and antimatter, when they anialate they'd do so in equal ammounts leaving equal amounts of both, since there is no anialation going on today clearly matter was somehow made in larger quantities than antimatter. (Had antimatter been more abundant we'd simply call antimatter matter and matter antimatter...)
