Wow you guys really need to get off your high horses and cut the guy a break. Not everyone has experience or insight to make a correct map to YOUR specs. Creating hostility between 2 groups such as TF2Maps and FPS does no one any good and only makes people like myself loose respect for this group.

I'm not aware of any hostility between the groups, but the more professional level designer's here frown upon the frequent childish behaviour that happens over at FPSB, behaviour that is usually revolving around the vote system and ends up in petty fighting, spamming each other's profiles and revenge voting. Maps put up are of consistantly low quality and the majority of which are surf, aim, box, orange, "fun" maps, or "my first map" maps. The type of maps that destroy the reputation of the custom mapping scene. For the most part the older/wiser members generally ignore what happens over there and only pop their head in when publicity on release is necassery.
If VGUI boxes is all that people get to see then the chances of anyone taking level design seriously is greatly deminished. So i'm not suprised people get worked up about it when they put so much effert in.
This is only another example of how a 'box map' has tainted the custom content scene, irrespective of a joke or not. A scene that is so valueble
here because of TF2's relative new-ness to other games, especially HL2 Deathmatch. TF2maps generally has a more mature attitude because real feedback is consistantly given and the lack of a map voting system reduces trolling and the level design resources attract a crowd willing to learn. Whilst FPSB attracts a totally different crowd.
This is not the first time and probably not the last that a low quality map will cause a ruckus between people of differing opinions.
