Some people tend to not show much emotion when someone famous dies. Sure its not safe to disrespect the dead but some people may find it hard to feel emotion regarding the death of a near complete stranger.
I am not saying grazr feels like that I am just saying that in general.

I never did realize just how young he was. When my brother asked how old he was I told him sixties, pretty much based off his health problems. Hmm. Well, it's a shame to lose the man.

As an anecdote, the first time I ever heard of him I was probably 9 or 10. The main character in the book "Remnants" took his name from Jobs. At the time he was just some old guy who was involved with how my electric stuff worked.

I made my feelings clear on the first page. It's a significant loss.

I'm not a fan of Apple products, but i'm not so ignorant to not realise the significance of Steve Jobs in the technological industry. I mean, we wouldn't have Windows without Apple Mac's because Bill Gates coded Windows and built his empire off of Mac's. Bill only commercialised computers, taking them out of offices and put them into the homes.

I prefer not to get so worked up about it though, a single man dies of cancer and half the world double takes, whilst thousands of men die protecting their country and no one bats an eyelid. I try to keep a level perspective about celebraties in the spot light.

Bill Gates is the Henry Ford of the computing world..... so that makes Steve Jobs the Karl Benz of computers?

Interesting, but not the right place and time.

And considering the man just retired a few months ago, they had the perfect opportunity to bring this up when it was. Now (especially considering the source) this just feels like flamebaiting for hits.

We (or at least I) have a rather high opinion of her over here, too.

Nobody is perfect, but Steve Jobs made (and/or oversaw) some very significant contributions to computing the way it is today.
