My point was that it's irrelevant. Soldier's going to win simply because rocket spam becomes deadlier with more soldiers at a higher rate than nade spam becomes deadlier with more demos.

Thankfully the Aussie servers are taking part but not that badly. In a game of 12-on-12 or so, there is an average of 5-7 soldiers and/or demos on each team so it's not affecting my playing as badly as it apparently is for other people.

I'm playing like I normally do, like I always go demo. So... in the end when I've gotten 203 soldier kills with a tally of about 500 kills altogether kinda shows how many "bad soldiers" have been attacking me :C I died alot more than usual, when 5 soldiers are firing rockets at your feet and you start being juggled uncontrollably, you've lost

I had some clarification from dario, it is the same weapon but the demoman wielding it enhances his playstyle far more than it enhances the soldiers.

Using some pretty high-level mathematics (division), I've worked out that there are 8 spots for images at the bottom of http://www.teamfortress.com/war/part2/. This means there are 5 spots left, and it's 5 days till the update, which would imply weekend updates (!).

This also makes sense in the context of the War update, no kill count updates over the weekend would be a bit nonsensical, and so would on Monday, there being a "Day 3" update.

Of course I could be completely wrong and looking into it too much. We'll know tonight :O

about 18 as demo and around 10 as soldier...

So far I've been on a team of 7 soldiers so I went demo and found that we were up against around 6 demomen. Then TF2 crashes

Demoman! The least-neutered of the classes, the one who can decimate an entire team if skilled enough, the one for whom my TFC play skill still carries over. As Shmitz said, a bad Soldier can defeat a bad Demoman, but a good Demoman can defeat a good Soldier everyone and everything.

Besides, the Soldier is the generalist bread-and-butter class. If he gets a fourth unlockable, the entire TF2 balance of power could be ruined! :O

I play spy a lot (174h) and i hate both demo and soldier for various reasons. But now I'm here to choose one so I'll pick the lesser of two evils: The Soldier.
So far I've killed up to 96 demos...

Honestly, I like both classes, their play times are within a few minutes of each other for me, so I really, really couldn't care who wins.
