Valve are doing it again. First Grockets, now this!

We have no idea what it's for, or what it does; and when loaded in itemtest it crashes the entire game! What are they up to?

I "Heard" the grockets might have to do with a solly update. I only say "heard" because several people in a couple different severs said grockets go along with some future update with soldier.

"several people" from "a couple different servers"; sounds like a reliable source of information to me.

The wiki says it's something to do with the soldier's secondary slot because that's who can currently equip it if you "hack" the game (equiping it also subsequently crashes the game). But there's really no more information that isn't simply idle speculation. "Grocket" sounds like "crocket", the soldier shoots "rockets" and these things are also "rockets"... people are making connections in the most rediculous of circumstantial evidence.

So yea, It's currently only soldier related because it shares the soldier's shotgun position.

Take a look from the F2P trailer:

Compare it to a certain community pack... the items look exactly the same!

Also note the shitty looking Grockets that we've seen crashed around some of the levels... that look like they're made out of trash?

I'm calling it.

I think you could be right, the rocket does look like its made out of junk, but on the other side, it could be for pyro update as it looks like they could be going though the classes again as we just had the medic. Also as some of the pyros hats are junk items

Typical 6-chamber Revolver - Oversized .44 - Large barreled Revolver with red grip - Narrow barreled Revolver with Ivory grip - Snubnosed Revolver with Pearl grip
Butterfly knife - Dagger - Kunai - Switchblade
Silver segmented Wristwatch - Gold Wristwatch - Yellow leather strapped Wristwatch - Pocket Watch

So far, each of the weapons are pretty unique compared to a lot of the Engi Contributions thrown out there (especially those knives -- nothing's a simple reskin, they're all completely different kinds of knives/sharp short pointy things) - either new buildables that are bad, pistols/shotguns that are tiny alterations (kind of like how the Flare Gun and Detonator aren't the same), or some absurd new thing that is unlikely to push through. And some of the better stuff looks bad but has a good idea.
