that's sarcasm right

Ah, the good natured cynicism of the honest TF2 fan. I have to say I'm with you that the game was better in its original state before all the bullshit started clogging TF2 - like the cholesterol filled arteries of a fatman.

I've mixed feelings about the maps. Some new ones have been great, some not so great. But the class updates spoiled a game that was well balanced, and the hats mostly look out of place.

That said, it's nice that a mapper can now make some cash out of their work through the stamps system. Congrats ;)

Well done YM, now let's see if you manage to get it to 20,000.

Also, unrelated to the topic:

that's sarcasm right

Take this shit out of here, this is about Manor and 10K Stamps, not how much you think tf2 sucks nowdays.

Don't go there I don't want to hear it.

whoa way to be aggressive guys, geez (though it's kinda telling how you didn't say "no I'm serious" but "I don't wanna talk about it" instead)

Congratulations, YM. Approximately how much has this new feature earnt you? If you're willing to discuss such details.

I wasn't being aggressive, just assertive. This isn't a discussion of the good and bad of the additions to TF2 so don't bring it up. I hear enough bitching and crying about TF2 from Selentic.

You should buy more stamps with all that mad money, just recycle all that cash you have so you can bring up your World Traveler's hat level to an all-time high.

Or buy a new computer. That's always cool too.

That 8000 people would support the creator of a map that was only being played for halloween, kinda defeating the point of the cosmetic bonus DOES point towards an impressive community.

Congrats youme, I'm honestly surprised at how well people reacted to stamps - it's very impressive from the community and it's a great way to deal with map packs.

(didn't buy any stamps D:)

But is that in/excluding tax?

I think the modal value is the average one would get, the upper bounds and lower bounds are depending on the tax levels of a given country.

So if I have this right, some people have got paid several grand for their maps? Do you get a big cheque at certain points or does it get deposited every month in a bank account of your choosing?

People that would rather choose to spend 10$'s on a few poly's of digital hat wear over supporting people that give them map content is just appalling.

Anyway, thats awesome YM. You deserve it.

I'm not sure how accurate that is anymore, since geit added 3 more maps and the total for each low bound dropped about 1000 per map, and even then it was a ballpark estimate. I have no idea how what it will end up as.
