    So, some woman just leant on my windowsill to fiddle with her shoe and took a massive chunk out of it in the process. She was pretty big... and it got me thinking, at what point do people start to realise that their diet or exercise habits need some sort of control? When you start taking out buildings? When you need a mirror to see your genitals?

    I weigh a supposedly healthy 10 stone 10 pounds at the moment. Sometimes i worry about my gut though, as of 1 month ago i'm not fitting into my regular jeans which is the first time i've physically felt overweight. My weight fluctuates pretty significantly. Anywhere between 9 1/2 stone in summer to 11 1/2 over christmas (a lot of rediculous meals and sweets and cosey nights in in the warmth).

    I don't get to do much exercise these days because i'm always busy doing one thing or another; making it impossible to make a routine of anything. My only exercise was cycling to uni (3 miles) and back, and occasionally wipping out the dumb bells, or doing some sit-ups to flatten my abs. Doing 20 a morning for a week would easily flatten my stomach in the past, which was normally required after too many social meals out, but i think those days passed after this Christmas since my jeans decided they would't fit. Ha ha.

    How about you guys? Weight? Eating habits? Exercise habits?

    54kg as of yesterday. I think that's underweight for 14, I am very skinny (as in, you can see my spine protruding when I bend over) but also quite tall. I still have a Mother cooking for me so I get a healthy amount of Vegetables and everything else. So overall, an 8/10 with positive body consciousness. :p

    EDIT: Grazr, that's 8st 7lb

    Yea, from 12 to 19 i weighed in at 8st 6lbs (not that i'm trying to beat you, ha ha). You could see my ribs, finger bones and spine etc. You could touch finger and thumb around my wrists.

    It turns out i had anxiety issues which affected my appetite (IE i didn't ever have one if it got bad). When i found out i managed to get ontop of it (ontop of other life changes) and put on 2 stone. When you're young you tend to have a high metabolism anyway, which sticks with you if you keep active. My mum did pretty well to feed me the right stuff that kept me healthy, right up until i left home. I eat the same stuff, but i just manage more than 1 meal a day :p so it's ok.

    edit:

    BMI graph (image wont hotlink).

    I weigh a little over a 100 kg I believe. I'm big and tall, so it doesn't mean I'm fat, but I am indeed overweight. I have pretty bad exercise habits, so to speak. :p

    I have no idea, haven't used scales in a while lawl. I'd wager I'm around 10 - 11 stone. I wouldn't say I'm immensely overweight, but I am a wee bit. I do however play rugby twice a week, and do quite a bit of excercise. If I worked my upper body more I could probably get rid of my excess fat. I usually have good well balanced meals as my mum/dad cooks them.

    I'm 71 kg and I have been for years. For three months I weighed 81 kilograms, this was during an internship in Amsterdam...

    That's around 11 stone.

    Around 61 kg and 1.78m tall. :O

    I go to school by bike each day (with Beatz omgomg :p) + 3 times 1,5h training for mah sport per week + 1 time competition per week + I do soccer sometimes (but that's not in a club). If you would want to know which sport I do: [ame]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Korfball[/ame]. :p

    IIRC, 81kg and 1.87 tall
    that's about 179 lbs and 6.1'

    ...that's the gravitational force between you and the earth, not your weight.

    F=M*g
    F= Force downwards to ground
    M= mass in kilograms
    g= Gravity Constant (9,81 in holland here)
    So he will be 75 kg here
    ---------------End of the physics part----------
    Im about 58kg 1,80 tall, and do a nice amount of sport and eat healthy (not if you ask my parents)

    Okay I'm a bit tired, steff0o wins. You need to divide, not multiply -.-

    But to make up for my mistake, let me calculate his speed falling off the taller of the world trade center towers in a vacuum just before the collision with the ground:

    the height of the tower is 417.0 m
    there's no drag because it's in a vacuum
    F = 734N
    g = 9.80665 m/s^2
    m= F/g = 74.85 kg

    Ep = mgh = Gh = 734N x 417m = 306078 J
    and Ep at the top is Ek at the bottom so

    Ek = 306078 J

    v = sqr(2Ek/m) = sqr(612156 J / 74.85 kg) =sqr(45818144 m^2/s^2) = 6769 m/s = 1880 km/h

    wheeeeeeeee

    That's... quite the approximation there, buddy. In a vacuum, starting at maximal gravitational acceleration?

    I don't think 400 meters is that much that I'd have to calculate the specific acceleration at that height.
    And it's in a vacuum because I don't know his area to calculate the drag, and apparently to calculate his area I need his density which I don't know. Also drag coefficient which I'd have to measure somehow.
