First, I would like to state, I have absolutely no experience with Hammer, I'm just trying to start out. So I recently found out that I could make maps/items on steam for tf2, so I tried it out, so I downloaded source sdk and launched hammer the correct way (steam > steamapps > common > Team Fortress 2 > bin > hammer.exe) and in order for me to learn, I went to yt.

In the tutorials, it says I need a boojum snarks prop kit (Hammer was working fine atm). Downloaded it and tried to run hammer. it said I was missing 2 .dll files (Stated in the name of this thread), but I clearly had them in the bin. Heres what I did to try to solve this problem

    1. Verify game files
    2. Delete the bin folder and verify game files
    3. Delete the .dll files and verify game files
    4. Delete the .dll files and replace them manually
    5. Delete Tf2 and reinstall it
    6. Uninstall ABS

but even after I deleted ABS it still wont work
    plz help

try checking the game files. if that doesnt work you might need to reinstall the game like its suggesting.

Windows has a tendency to lie about dll errors. The reported dll will exist, but it will fail to load because a dependency failed to load, probably because that one is missing. Use a tool such as Dependency explorer to figure out the real cause of the load failure.

Find the dll that does fail to load. And then hunt down the official installer for it. Don't just go and download files from the internet.

Have you tried running Hammer.bat to reconfigure the environment? I can't imagine why ABS's pack would mess with it, but it's worth a shot.

I did, but all it did is open the command prompt for like half a second, and then close

That's what it does. Does Hammer still not work after running it?

That isn't supposed to be needed. Nor can I understand how it even works as a fix.
