Meridian is less stalemate-prone than hydro because of it's layout, not just because it happens to be ctf.

So if you just throw intel into hydro, you wouldn't be accomplishing much.

This is true. Hydro has a lot of chokes and sentry points, while Meridian minimizes them.

What everyone else is saying is basically right. While a new mode rather than CP would make TC more fluent and enjoyable, it wouldn't do Hydro any good since it was designed with the CP system in mind.

That's not the point. Hydro is built with no system in mind. That's why it stalemates constantly, because the battles are all as far away as they can possibly be from one, the other, or both points at the same time. The battlefields are either on the point or directly in between the two, meaning that it hasn't built up good areas for crossing enemy lines and reaching those control point battlefields unless more of your team is defending than enemies attacking.

I don't see how removing CPs suddenly revitalizes TC. And since when is TC a broken gamemode? There's one official map for it, and it happens to be mediocre. That doesn't prove anything about how good or bad TC is, nor does it mean we need to change the gamemode to make a better TC map.

Quite frankly, TC is a long gamemode. Yes, it can be fixed. No, it's not easy. It's a very long development process and a very unpopular gamemode. Unless you make a pretty incredible map, your work will go unnoticed.

It's unpopular because there's only one map for it that gets boring very quickly. Everything else is just theory.

I doubt many people arguing against TC as a worth while gamemode play it, in exactly the same way that anyone who doesn't play 2fort believes the intel is impossible to cap.
